The Float Experience
There is nothing to do.
Nothing to manage.
Just space to let go.
What is Floating?
A restorative float—sometimes referred to as sensory reduction or deep relaxation—takes place in a private float room or pod filled with shallow, body-temperature water and a high concentration of Epsom salt. This allows the body to float effortlessly on the surface, creating a weightless, fully supported experience.
The environment is intentionally quiet, calm, and free from distraction. Without the constant pull of noise, screens, and external demands, the nervous system has space to settle. For many, this creates an opportunity to rest more deeply, recover more intentionally, and reconnect with themselves.
Who is it For?
Float experiences can be especially beneficial for those navigating high levels of stress, constant responsibility, or ongoing physical and mental strain. Floating offers a rare chance to pause—giving the body the conditions it needs to reset, uninterrupted.
At Blue Repose, this mission is notably meaningful for first responders, support professionals, and those who spend much of their lives taking care of others.

Common Questions
Do I need to know how to swim?
No. The water is shallow, and the Epsom salt makes the body highly buoyant.
Will I feel closed in?
Your comfort matters. Float environments are designed to be private, feel calm and spacious. Many people settle in quickly as their body begins to relax.
You remain in full control- you can keep the pod open, adjust lighting, or exit at any time.
Do I have to stay perfectly still?
Not at all. You can move, stretch, or simply rest.
What should I bring?
Usually very little. We provide the essentials so your experience feels simple and easy. You’re welcome to bring a swimsuit, though many choose to float without one.
What if I’ve never done anything like this before?
That’s completely okay. Many first-time guests arrive feeling curious and a little unsure.
We guide you through each step so you feel comfortable and supported before your session begins.
